The 2017 Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union presents a unique opportunity to showcase Malta and all it has to offer. To this end, the Parliamentary Secretariat for EU Presidency 2017 and EU Funds sent out an invitation for sponsorship proposals. Maltese companies were invited to contribute to the Presidency by donating goods, services or financial resources. Any contribution is most welcome for transport services, IT goods and services, telecommunications, logistics services, catering and hospitality, textile products and high-quality gifts and mementoes.

In return, partners will benefit greatly from being associated with the numerous high-profile events, thereby gaining priceless exposure, prestige and enhanced brand recognition for their services and products. Over 200 meetings are set to be hosted in Malta during the Maltese EU Presidency, and around 20,000 officials are expected to attend. Numerous events attracting an even greater number of delegates are to be hosted in Brussels, Strasbourg and Luxembourg in addition to Malta’s.

Although a number of partnership agreements have been secured, the Maltese EU Presidency will not close its doors to any local businesses who may wish to make a contribution. More information about sponsorship opportunities can be acquired from the Presidency Unit which can be contacted by via email on [email protected] or by calling +356 2540 2700.
